These terms govern your use of the Ryuo AI website, desktop studio, and connected services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. Your account and eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to agree to these terms, or the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian where applicable. If you use Ryuo for an organization, you must be authorized to act on its behalf.
Provide accurate account information, protect access to your account and devices, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activities you authorize through your account, including connected provider accounts.
2. The Service and early access
Ryuo assists with game development by operating tools, editing project files, and connecting to AI and asset providers. Features may be experimental, invite-only, unavailable, or subject to limits. Roadmap items and demonstrations are not guarantees of availability or delivery dates.
You are responsible for compatible hardware, software, third-party licenses, and backups. Unreal Engine, Blender, model providers, and other third-party products remain subject to their respective terms.
3. AI output and project safety
AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, insecure, non-unique, or unsuitable for your project. Review and test generated code, assets, and tool actions before relying on them or releasing a game. Ryuo does not guarantee that outputs are original, non-infringing, or fit for a particular purpose.
Agent tools may modify files, run commands, import assets, or spend provider credits according to your permissions. Automatic approval modes reduce opportunities for review. Maintain independent backups and source control; checkpoints and recovery tools are not a guarantee against data loss.
4. Your content and rights
You retain your rights in the content and project files you provide. You authorize Ryuo and the providers needed for your requested operations to process that content to deliver the Service. You must have the rights and permissions required to submit it.
Ryuo does not claim ownership of your game merely because you use the Service. Your rights to generated output and third-party assets depend on applicable law and the relevant provider or asset license. Keep required credits and license notices. Ryuo branding and Service software remain subject to their applicable ownership and license terms.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service for unlawful activity, infringement, fraud, harassment, unauthorized access, or distributing malicious code. Do not bypass security controls, account restrictions, usage limits, or payment requirements, or interfere with other users or the Service. Follow the acceptable-use policies of connected providers.
6. Payments and provider charges
Paid features apply only when offered and enabled. Prices, included credits, renewal terms, taxes, and any expiry or usage limits are disclosed with the applicable purchase. Do not purchase based on a promised future feature. Credits are usage units, not money or a stored-value bank account.
If you purchase a recurring subscription, it renews as disclosed at checkout until canceled. Manage available subscriptions through the billing portal or contact us for help. Refunds and cancellation rights are subject to the purchase terms and applicable law; nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights.
Connecting a personal provider account may authorize charges or credit usage with that provider. Those charges are governed by your provider agreement. A failed, canceled, or unsatisfactory generation may still incur provider costs. Signing in alone is not authorization to use personal Backboard funding.
7. Availability, suspension, and ending use
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access for security risks, abuse, nonpayment, legal requirements, or material violations of these terms. We may change or discontinue features, with notice where required by law or an applicable purchase agreement.
Keep copies of your projects and exports. Ending access does not remove obligations for valid charges already incurred or rights and obligations that reasonably survive termination.
8. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or suitability for a particular purpose. To that same extent, Ryuo is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.
These terms do not exclude liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections. Your responsibility to review outputs does not waive those rights.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. If a change requires your agreement, we will seek it before applying that change to you.
For questions or requests, contact the Ryuo team through the contact channel provided with your invitation or account. Include the email associated with your account, but do not send passwords, API keys, or payment card details.
